What happens at the end of the fifteen days?
The app keeps working, in Essential mode: two protected contacts, a 24-hour delay for a new contact, manual backup. If you had more than two contacts, you choose which to keep. Nothing is deleted, nothing is charged.
Does my relative have to pay too?
No. PROTECT is tied to your device. Your parent can stay in the free mode with their two contacts; verification between you works exactly the same.
I'm changing iPhones: do I lose PROTECT?
No. The purchase is attached to your Apple account: "Restore purchases" in the app finds it again. Your relationships come back through the backup, automatic with PROTECT.
